How can we make room for Granny?

This blog is to document the renovation of a four bedroom home to make room for two small families to live in comfortably.  It will be posted by two people Jeanne (Granny) and Joy (me, her daughter).  Can two families with hording tendencies merge peacefully?  We will write about the repairs and renovations of the house, the products that we research and use plus the emotional toll on us as we go through our journey.  Neither my mother nor I have writing experience so the writing style may be VERY choppy so we thank you for your patience.  Feel free to post corrections if you feel the content is wrong (we will be asking for opinions) but please have mercy on our feelings for spelling and grammatical errors.
